Serendipity and the art of letting go…. just a bit? I was having a conversation with @ianrayersmith about music we listen to whilst painting. We both enjoy the likes of Winged Victory of the Sullen but he made the observation that we paint quite differently. However I have always been drawn to the subconscious mark making and just letting go, which Ian does so well. These past few years I have very much controlled and kept that expression to the back grounds but recently I have started to enjoy bringing that expression to the foreground more.
