This is a double study for the Cherry Lipstick series – artworks inspired by the lyrics of Lana del Rey. The study shows two figures. The right figure was painted as a final piece but the left one, although started, didn’t quite make the grade and was destroyed. Here I was experimenting with tech-inspired disruption of red-green colour distortion. I might go back to this and do something with the series –so much potential.? ? ? Original available.
